Corrections policy

We correct our mistakes

Gear recommendations go stale. Prices move, models get revised, and sometimes we just get something wrong. When that happens, we fix it plainly:

  • Factual errors (wrong specs, wrong prices, wrong model names) are corrected as soon as we're aware of them, with a brief correction note and an updated date on the guide.
  • Changed verdicts are bigger: if re-verification shows a pick no longer deserves its badge, the guide is updated to say so — we don't quietly swap recommendations.
  • Re-verification happens on a 90-day cycle. Every guide carries its last-verified date and next review date, so you can see exactly how fresh the advice is.

We'd rather publish a correction than defend a stale pick. A reader who catches us in an error is doing us a favor.

A direct contact address for reporting errors is coming soon. Until then, every guide's 90-day re-verification is the backstop.

How we pick. Every guide is researched against real products and current prices. BiteLab Fishing is reader-supported: when you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend.
